The beginning

Since Bone suggested it, and I really do have that much time, here it is: The afternoon update. I'll give you the what, as well as my 2 cents, and you can do what you like.

In today's news as reported through various newswebsites and like, many things have come to pass.

In political news there are reports coming out of South Carolina that Barak O'bama (the Irish candidate), or atleast his biggest supporters in the state, were the people who lobbied against letting presidential candidate Stephen Colbert-of ComedyCentral's the Colbert Report, onto the Democratic ballot. The reports state that O'bama supporter something tenenbaum made calls to members of the South Carolina Democratic committee, "strongly urging" them not to let Senor Colbert onto the ballot. Colbert has since dropped out of the presidential race.

My two cents:
Is this really how O'bama wants to run his political campaign? Having his supporters go after each of his opponents using terrorist-like tactics until they finally drop out? Im not so sure this Irishman is ready for the throne in Washington.

In other news, two men ages 18 and 19 were arrested after beheading a 7-week old kitten in Indiana.( It may be somewhere else but I think it was Indiana) The men claimed that they were attempting to give the kitten a bath, but forgot to check the water. It was too hot and it scalded the kitten. The men then decided to kill the cat in order to end its pain.

My two cents:I don't buy it. Why would you decapitate a kitten? I mean, there is just nothing else there. It could possibly be the worst thing someone can do in the world. I hope these guys go to jail, while the headless kitten-who I have now named Icabod goes straight to kitty heaven.

The space shuttle discovery (I think) is scheduled to land sometime soon. They astronauts are returning homefrom an unusually long 15 day mission. Also aboard the shuttle is atronaut Clayton Anderson, who has beenaboard the international space station for over 5 months.

My two cents:I was interested in this space thing for a while, andI have been following it, but now its getting kinda boring. I think it is cool for the guy coming homethough. I'd love to be him and walk into the local saloon for a brew. What a great feeling that must be.

There is a girl in India who was born with 8 limbs. 8!!! She was born with a conjoined or cojoined(idunno) body without a head. She is going into surgerytoday to have the extra 4 extremeties taken off.

My two cents: woah. Can you imagine if she would have control of all 8 limbs? that would be like Dr. Octopus but with 2 extra legs! She could have been an evil crime boss, but luckily for India, she is having them removed.

There have been rumors floating around hollywood that Kate Hudson has left her new beau and is looking to patch things up with her old flame, Owen Wilson, brother of acclaimed actor Luke Wilson, who stars in such classics as "idiocracy" and alongside Uma Thurman in "My super ex-girlfriend".

My two cents:
Who cares? Kate Hudson is rediculously smoking hot, but other than that, this is a non story.

In international news there was a suicide bombing in Pakistan that killed a number of lawyers who were protesting the new judiciary reform laws that were mandated by General Mushroomoff.

I'm staying away from this one.

In Israeli news, Ramat Beit Shemesh, once the ol'stomping grounds of yours truly, has turned into a battlefield. The Haredim of Ramat Alef and Bet havebeen spitting and throwing rocks at both the secular and modern orthodox women. Modern Orthos have staged ademonstration stating that they will take matter into thier own hand if this does not stop.

My two cents:
Ramat Beit Shemesh has always been a crazy place. I hope that when this war does go down, my boys at LevHatorah will keeps it real.

Now for sports: for all of your sports needs listen to the "throwdown" on Sunday nights atwww.blogtalkradio.com/throwdown, or check out theirfacebook group.

The Orioles have yet to trade Miguel Tejada but it is just a matter of time. Good riddance to an excellentplayer who just didnt want to play hard for thegreatest sports franchise in modern history.Let's go Charm City!

The Redskins pulled out a squeaker on Sunday against the Jets behind the semi-strong leg of kicker Sean Suisham. Incidentally if you rearrange his name it spells " AM Sushi".

The Eagles once again proved that they are a washe dupfranchise by getting smattered by Tony Homo and the Cowboys. Man its a bad time to be a philly fan...

In local news,Shabbos football is set to reurn this week after the bye for both teams. Some players are eager to return, however JR , the star DE/O-lineman is questionable after suffering a chipped tooth from the slightly less fearsome Maxwell S.

The local kiddush club is going strong this week, and expecting a great turn out for this week. The Sponsor has promised to deliver better than last week's poor taste of re-using the same bottle as the week before, especially since he had already claimed in was glenfidditch (which it was not!)

Keepin it real from the foggy fruit loop.
