In today's news I still have too much time in the afternoons.

Pat Robertson, the famous former Evangelical Christian presidential candidate has endoresed Republican candidate Rudy Guiliani. This now bolsters Guiliani's right-wing constituency (is you is, or is you aint my constitioncy? I'm a friend of the little man!) This could be a big move by Rudy since his familial situation(s) does not neccessarily reflect well with the Evangelical base.

P.S. Senator Brownback has thrown his support behind McCain. Does anyone else find his name both hilarious as well as false advertising?

My two Cents: So in my paltry opinion, this pretty much locks up Guiliani as the Republican nominee. Which is a good thing, since now Fred Thompson can get back to making Law & Order episodes. Becuase all they are doing is showing criminal intent and I HATE Law & Order CI!

Some woman in middletown America has been arrested for sleeping with her 13 year old daughters boyfriend. This illicit affair was going on when the woman's husband and children were in the house.

My Two Cents: Why? I mean, I know this happens like every week somewhere in America (mostly the midwest for some reason) and its always on the news. But if you are a married woman why would you be having an affair with a 13 year old? how can that make you feel good? I dunno, but obviously there is something that 13 year old middle schoolers have that older guys don't since a new case like this pops up everyday.

Apparently there are reports coming out now stating Warren Jeffs, the leader and prophet of Fundamentalist Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, tried to hang himself in his cell, after being convicted on two counts of being an accomplice to rape.

My Two Cents: Whenever I read about this case, all I can think about is the HBO show "Big Love". It's a fun show, and it's crazy to think that this is that show in real life.

In International news an 18 year Finnish student shot and killed 8 people and injured 12 more. He posted materials leading up to this rampage on YouTube, and even played the same song that the columbine shooters did when making his farewell video. However, he was not killed and is in critical condition.

My Two Cents: Do you think his posting all of his intentions on youtube was a cry for help? Was he trying to be caught? maybe, he did post a video of him pointing a gun at a model of the school and going on from there. The question is now, with this and the Yahoo-China case, can there be somesort of policing of free internet sites that look for these things? and can a site such as YouTube be held accountable in anyway? There is definitly an argument for both sides.

Update: The Indian girl with 4 extra limbs is now out of her record 27 hour surgery, and is recovering well.

My two Cents: This is still so crazy. I wonder what they do with the second body? Do you bury it? it was never a person, just a headless body. But enough of that.

In Pakistan, shit has gone even further down today with former Prime Minister Bhutto encouraging her supporters to protest President Mushroomoff even at the risk of being arrested. In fact over 400 protesters have already been arrested, as well as most of the lawyers. The fun thing about this is that since Mushy has suspended the judiciary system, there is no way to get out of jail, just into it.

My Two Cents: This place is turning into total anarchy. Which is awesome since clearly something drastic is going to happen with either this government or a variation of it. And hopefully it won't be too crazy, since its not like they have nuclear weapons are anything. Also all of this infighting is halting any progress of the Pakistani military fighting the Pro-taliban Sheiks. That whole area is just split up too many times.

Iran has announced that they have built 3,000 centrifuges to help with their Uranium enrichment. Apparently the U.S. already knows about this.

My Two Cents: what the hell? why is this still going on?

No news on the brewing Beit Shemesh war. I'll keep you posted.

For all of you science geeks out there, a new "possible habitable" planet has been found. For more on that: http://cosmiclog.msnbc.msn.com/archive/2007/11/06/451256.aspx.

My Two Cents: That would be cool to colonize a new planet, but apparently I misunderstood what finding a new planet means. We can find it, but not get there.

In entertainment news there are reports now that Tom Cruise and Katie Holmes, known for such movies as "Cocktail" and "The Faculty" sleep in seperate beds.

My Two Cents: I have got to get a job in that industry, it seems like the easiest job in the world. I would love it. Mostly since all of these stories are always denied, you can just make them up as they go along, make them semi-plausible and you are the scoop of the day.

In other entertainment news "The Throwdown"'s rating have jumped through the roof this past week. Sources say its listening base has increased monumentally due to three reasons. The awesomeness of the show, their new facebook group, and a guest caller from this past week who was in the car coming home from NY. Yes I am talking about JonnyClaus.

In other sports news Don Shula has stated an asterix should be placed on the Pats 16-0 records (if they do go undefeated) because of the whole Jets-spying thing in week 1.

My Two Cents: Does Shula really need to do this? I believe he even mentioned Bonds in this. C'mon man, it was gonna happen eventually (if it does) just let it go. So there will be more people popping corks, so what? most of your team will be dying off soon anyways.

Nothing from the Hotstove yet...lets hope the O's go for broke.

In Bowling, the weekly championships will be played tonight. The 3 categories will be, fastest ball, highest and lowest score.

Still can't wait for kiddush club.

keepin it real from the foggy loop.

The beginning

Since Bone suggested it, and I really do have that much time, here it is: The afternoon update. I'll give you the what, as well as my 2 cents, and you can do what you like.

In today's news as reported through various newswebsites and like, many things have come to pass.

In political news there are reports coming out of South Carolina that Barak O'bama (the Irish candidate), or atleast his biggest supporters in the state, were the people who lobbied against letting presidential candidate Stephen Colbert-of ComedyCentral's the Colbert Report, onto the Democratic ballot. The reports state that O'bama supporter something tenenbaum made calls to members of the South Carolina Democratic committee, "strongly urging" them not to let Senor Colbert onto the ballot. Colbert has since dropped out of the presidential race.

My two cents:
Is this really how O'bama wants to run his political campaign? Having his supporters go after each of his opponents using terrorist-like tactics until they finally drop out? Im not so sure this Irishman is ready for the throne in Washington.

For more political news, listen to the "throwdown"with rubes and gordo on Sunday nights atwww.blogtalkradio.com/throwdown, or check out theirfacebook group.

In other news, two men ages 18 and 19 were arrested after beheading a 7-week old kitten in Indiana.( It may be somewhere else but I think it was Indiana) The men claimed that they were attempting to give the kitten a bath, but forgot to check the water. It was too hot and it scalded the kitten. The men then decided to kill the cat in order to end its pain.

My two cents:I don't buy it. Why would you decapitate a kitten? I mean, there is just nothing else there. It could possibly be the worst thing someone can do in the world. I hope these guys go to jail, while the headless kitten-who I have now named Icabod goes straight to kitty heaven.

The space shuttle discovery (I think) is scheduled to land sometime soon. They astronauts are returning homefrom an unusually long 15 day mission. Also aboard the shuttle is atronaut Clayton Anderson, who has beenaboard the international space station for over 5 months.

My two cents:I was interested in this space thing for a while, andI have been following it, but now its getting kinda boring. I think it is cool for the guy coming homethough. I'd love to be him and walk into the local saloon for a brew. What a great feeling that must be.

There is a girl in India who was born with 8 limbs. 8!!! She was born with a conjoined or cojoined(idunno) body without a head. She is going into surgerytoday to have the extra 4 extremeties taken off.

My two cents: woah. Can you imagine if she would have control of all 8 limbs? that would be like Dr. Octopus but with 2 extra legs! She could have been an evil crime boss, but luckily for India, she is having them removed.

There have been rumors floating around hollywood that Kate Hudson has left her new beau and is looking to patch things up with her old flame, Owen Wilson, brother of acclaimed actor Luke Wilson, who stars in such classics as "idiocracy" and alongside Uma Thurman in "My super ex-girlfriend".

My two cents:
Who cares? Kate Hudson is rediculously smoking hot, but other than that, this is a non story.

For more celebrity gossip, listen to the "throwdown" on Sunday nights at www.blogtalkradio.com/throwdown,or check out their facebook group.

In international news there was a suicide bombing in Pakistan that killed a number of lawyers who were protesting the new judiciary reform laws that were mandated by General Mushroomoff.

I'm staying away from this one.

In Israeli news, Ramat Beit Shemesh, once the ol'stomping grounds of yours truly, has turned into a battlefield. The Haredim of Ramat Alef and Bet havebeen spitting and throwing rocks at both the secular and modern orthodox women. Modern Orthos have staged ademonstration stating that they will take matter into thier own hand if this does not stop.

My two cents:
Ramat Beit Shemesh has always been a crazy place. I hope that when this war does go down, my boys at LevHatorah will keeps it real.

Now for sports: for all of your sports needs listen to the "throwdown" on Sunday nights atwww.blogtalkradio.com/throwdown, or check out theirfacebook group.

The Orioles have yet to trade Miguel Tejada but it is just a matter of time. Good riddance to an excellentplayer who just didnt want to play hard for thegreatest sports franchise in modern history.Let's go Charm City!

The Redskins pulled out a squeaker on Sunday against the Jets behind the semi-strong leg of kicker Sean Suisham. Incidentally if you rearrange his name it spells " AM Sushi".

The Eagles once again proved that they are a washe dupfranchise by getting smattered by Tony Homo and the Cowboys. Man its a bad time to be a philly fan...

In local news,Shabbos football is set to reurn this week after the bye for both teams. Some players are eager to return, however JR , the star DE/O-lineman is questionable after suffering a chipped tooth from the slightly less fearsome Maxwell S.

The local kiddush club is going strong this week, and expecting a great turn out for this week. The Sponsor has promised to deliver better than last week's poor taste of re-using the same bottle as the week before, especially since he had already claimed in was glenfidditch (which it was not!)

Keepin it real from the foggy fruit loop.
